Twenty-six Kyushu Gaigo College students went on a "welcome field trip" to Nokonoshima with three teachers. Nokonoshima is an island in Hakata bay near Fukuoka city. It is covered by wonderful greenery all during the year. It is a pleasant island for camping, swimming ,fishing ,and eating fresh fish from the Genkai-nada.
That day, we gathered at Meinohama-Station at 10:30 A.M. After a ten minute- boat trip, we arrived on Nokonoshima. Most of the students & teachers looked exited.
On the other hand, some of them looked sleepy as too much exited at this trip last night. We went onto the hiking course followed by Randall-sensei. On the way, we were welcomed by wonderful scenery, the nice smell from the sea and a fantastic view of Fukuoka city. In fact, there was a shorter way, but most of us did not know about this. About two hours later, we reached the top of the mountain. Although,we were a little tired from hiking, we were very exited at the thought of the Bar-be-que party!

The bar-be-que house, where we had our party, was located on the peaceful hill that had a nice view of Umi-no-nakamichi & Shikanoshima. When people have a bar-be-que party, they usually need 2500 yen per person for it. But thanks to Ms Imai & Mr Hayashi, we were able to have our party at a low cost, because, they had already gathered 1000 yen from each person to buy some meat & some vegetables. Maybe we all were very hungry , so we prepared for our bar-be-que together very well. as for me, I needed some glasses of beer!. You can see how our party went by looking at these pictures here. To our surprise, this day was Mrs Nawata's (our coullage owner) birthday. So we all sang to her a birthday song. We had plenty of time until we had to leave Nokonoshima. We spent time playing volleyball, eating local ice cream and chatting. If we have a chance to come to Nokonoshima again, we would prefer to play hide and seek instead of playing volleyball. On the way back home, we got on a bus. It was incredibly faster than walking!
Finally, our friend ship seemed to get stronger than ever. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a total of six hours, our trip was very successful. We all want to go to Nokonoshima again soon!! Yeah!
